Today is a big day for me, I turned the big 3-0. Last Thursday Rick out of the blue said to me "Get our birth certificates out, we need them for Saturday". And I knew immediately that meant Toronto!! So for months Rick had made plans for his parents to come and spend the weekend at our house with the boys while we went to Toronto. Living about 2 hours away from there is great so we got on the road Saturday morning, went shopping at the Eaton center, checked into the Marriott, ate dinner at Milestones and went to a comedy show at Yuk Yuks. Then we ended the night sitting in front of the fire at the hotel while I enjoyed strawberry daiquiris and Rick tried a few specialty beers. This is the first time we have ever left the boys overnight, so although we missed them terribly, we knew that Grandma and Grandpa would take good care of them while we were gone. I was so afraid Gage was going to start walking while we were gone and I would miss his first steps, but that didn't happen. But the boys did great, didn't even act like they missed us and just were their happy little selves. I think having them at home and their routine still in place really helped make it a smooth weekend, and Grandma's fabulous cooking didn't hurt either.
So today I am celebrating with me and the boys since Rick is at work, and my last surprise was a beautiful red velvet cake from this great bakery on the corner that Rick snuck over to when I came home from work, and I have already eaten a piece with a glass of milk, awesome.
I owe alot of pictures of the boys so I will post them soon, but seeing as afternoon nap has been really not going so well this past week I must go rescue the boys now.

Happy Happy 30th Birthday to my bestest friend ever! I can't believe that we have known each other for 18 years, crazy! Walking to Pizza Hut, Eiffel Park, getting ready in your room with our big hair..who would have ever thought that you would have triplets and I would have #3 on the way by age 30! Glad you had a wonderful birthday and you are blessed to have such a wonderful husband..way to go Rick!
