Ok, with Evan near his weight limit on his car seat, I will be needing to go to the next level of car seat for the boys. When we registered for our Graco snugrides, we were at toys r' us and watched a women with 2 kids and her hubby look at them and pick out the ones we got. Luckily they fit 3 across the backseat of my trailblazer. We also made sure we got one of the lightest weight ones. Does anyone have any recommendations on brand and style for our upcoming purchase? I was looking at them online and holy cow there are soooo many to choose from!!
Ok, next step in the process, once we get the car seats we need a new vehicle to put them in. I have heard quite a few praises for the Toyota Sienna and the Dodge Grand Caravan. Looking at it from affordability standpoint, the Grand Caravan is less expensive, but for once (gasp!!!) I am not concerned about price as much as I am about safety and ease of use for the family. Please help!!!
In baby news, the boys are very active lately, alot of rolling and grabbing. Gage has started to rock back and forth and for a short while he was on all fours in his crib. They all love to grab hair, both mine and Rick's. Still no signs of any teeth, just big gummy smiles.

We have an older Dodge (1999) Caravan and I do love it. I have rode in the newer ones and those are great too. I would suggest since you will have 3 in the same carseat and it is hard to crawl in the back to buckel them up..so I would buy a new sto and go Dodge (not sure what year those were starting to be made?) where you can keep one seat down at most times so you just have to buckel 2 boys in the very back and the other on the side seat..I am lucky because my 4 year old and 7 year olds can buckel themselves in the back so I never crawl back there..I hope this helps!
Well Miss Mel, I don't have alot of advice for the minivan but I have started to look at carseats. Truthfully, expensive is not ALWAYS better. I went through 2 different ones with Jenna and one was an Evenflo (which are not very expensive) and the other was an Eddie Bauer-I actually liked the Evenflo better. JMO though! Back to the vans- If I had to get one it would be the stow and go like the other woman commented. We did look at those when purchasing my new car and it's almost like having a "mini" motorhome! (and you know I like my motorhomes!!)

Best of luck!
we have a 2004 toyota sienna xle that i LOVE. but i wish we had gotten the 8 passenger instead of the 7 passenger, so we could have put three seats across. alas, since we bought used (certified), we didn't have that much choice. but DEFINITELY get the power sliding doors w/remote. it is a MUST for us!
as far as carseats, i bought the fisher-price safe voyage seats (made by britax, but v inexpensive, look on albeebaby.com) which i will probably start putting the boys in very soon.
Melissa, I linked to you from the Larkin trips and I happened onto this post. I have to say it took me along time to choose a seat. I have a Town and Country and love every thing about it except we don't have stow and go. I take one captains chair out. Snugrides would not fit three across and I wanted the new seats to plus the top safety. After much researce and posting on triplet connection I ended up with the Radian 80. These are very slim they all fit side by side and they are the top ranked seat for safety. This will be the last seat I have to buy till they are 8 and can legaly ride in a safety belt. They can stay in the 5 point harness till that time and that is the safest way for kids to tavel. Sorry this is so long. I called to order them due to the fact that I got a multiple discount that you can not get with out verbaly asking for. If I think of the company I will leave another comment.
