In our previous life (aka before triplets) we would go to the farmer's market every Saturday morning for fresh fruit, veggies and other assorted goodies. Last week we took the boys and today we did also. Taking 2 strollers has really enabled us to go out with the boys and enjoy ourselves. Well, while at the market Rick goes to the bank and does his weekly banking. Because there is a set of stairs to get into the rear entrance of the bank, I stay parked with the 2 strollers while he goes in. As I am standing there for a very long time, I later find out because the banks computer system went down and everything was being done manually. I joked with Rick that I thought maybe he snuck out the front and abandoned us! So as I wait, I notice a younger guy sitting in his car, apparently waiting for someone. As I stand there singing to the babies (old school salt n'pepa) an older man stops to talk to me about the boys. This gave the guy in the car courage I guess, because he gets out and walks over to us. This is our conversation:
Him: "Wow, triplets!?"
Me: "Yes, identical boys".
Him: "Wow they are cute, look at their hair. So, who in your family has twins?"
Me: Quiet, thinking he maybe said twins, but meant triplets so I say "No twins, just us with the triplets."
Him: "Wow, no twins, and you have triplets, that's great".
He then walks away and goes back to his car to wait for whoever he was waiting for.
That is our duh comment of the day.

That's a DUH comment alright! I really think people don't think at all before they speak!!
Ummm...yeah. This guy sounds a little dull. Maybe he meant he asked that since multiples tend to run in families? Dunno. He probably should have stayed in his car.
