A week in review...

Last Thursday an old friend of mine visited us with her 2 daughters, her 3 boys decided to stay home. I have known her since kindergarten, but unfortunatly we lost contact while in HS. She looked me up on the alumni webpage, we had lunch and then she came to meet the boys and I got to meet part of her brood. Yes she is 28 years old and has 5 kids! I kept asking her all the silly questions that I get, how do do it with all those kids?? how do you both work full time??etc.,etc. No surprisingly her response was the same as mine always is, you don't think about it, you just do it.

Friday afternoon my brother and his family came out for a visit. Friday night, my dear friend and neighbor who is 6 months pregnant came to get some baby bootcamp. This is her first child and I had offered to her that anytime she wanted to come and observe she was more than welcome to. It was her lucky night because it was bath night! So she took a seat on the toilet (lid down of course!) and watched 3 bubble baths. Then she observed their bedtime bottles and then off to bed. I know she and her husband will be fabulous parents, and I hope they have a boy because we have alot of stuff to pass down to them!

Saturday was pretty typical, no visitors, just mommy and daddy time. We took the boys into town for the farmer's market and then daddy off to work. I watched the bootleg Sex and The City movie when the boys went to bed, it was very good, predictable, but still good.

Sunday was the Eden cornfest. Technically last year they went with us when I was pregnant, but this was their first time being exposed to the sights and sounds. To any moms of multiples or anyone expecting multiples, in addition to a triple stroller, I highly recommend a single and a double so you can split the kids up when going in public. Double strollers are so common now, no one even gives a second look. We did draw some attention, but it was much less than what we are used to. Most people were commenting on how cute they looked with their sunglasses, and then they would realize the 3 were together, but we were already past them. Also to draw less attention don't make eye contact, when someone comments just smile, but the key is to keep walking at all times. When we sat down to eat we did have someone approach us, but she was the mother of 7 year old triplets that we there with her.

I hear you on the stroller thing..I have a triple stroller and I love it. I bought it last year for my 3, 2 and 1 year olds. Now, just my 3 and 2 year old ride in it but I still love it to put things in the middle seat since you have alot of stuff with 4 boys!
