Gage, Caleb and Evan
Here I am in a rare photo with my boys, I tend to be the photograper. Please pay no attention to the lack of make up and hair pulled back, taking a walk around the block in 80 degree weather and pushing a stroller with 2 bum wheels will make you look this way.Below is the a picture of me holding all 3 together for the first time on 12/19/07, when they were 12 days old. I remember when the nurse just piled them on me, I was so overwhelmed. I can't explain how it felt, but it was almost like the whole pregnancy you plan, plan, plan, never knowing what can happen. Then you have the babies, and because they are in the NICU you still feel in a fog and you are just visiting them but that they are not yours to eventually take home. Sometimes I still don't believe we have 3 kids, I feel like it is a dream, and that how can we be so lucky and so blessed to have these little miracles. And although by the end of the day my back is aching, I would never, ever change this for the world. To look back at these pictures only make me realize how far we have come. My husband has by far exceeded the call of daddy duty, he is amazing, and to watch the boys faces light up when he is in the room, it is priceless.
During the weekend when we are bothhome in the mornings, we literally push each other out of the way to get to see the boys first and catch the first smiles of the day. One of my absolute favorte things is to go into their rooms to wake them and watch their faces light up and their little legs kick with excitement. I wish we would have that to look forward to forever, but as they grow I know there will be many other things that will give me that same joy.
Gage, Caleb,Evan, same order as above picture!

ReplyDeleteYour boys are so cute, just found your site. I'm not a mom of triplets but I enjoy reading the blogs.
